Hey friends! Emily here. I’m at camp, so I scheduled this a month in advance because I still wanted you to hear from me. (: Today’s very relaxed post is about all the reasons notebooks are awesome.Continue reading
Have you ever felt talentless?
When people speak about their calling in life, do you wonder if God skipped you because you never heard that call?
Dear friend, I hope my words can encourage you that you do have skills—skills you might have overlooked!—and that even though you are young, you have something of value to contribute to the world.Continue reading
Did you make a New Year’s Resolution?
Many of my friends have made all kinds of resolutions! Some have bucket lists for 2021, others have hopes for their future, I have some personal development goals I am hoping to accomplish, and a few brave souls have set out to read the entire Bible in a year!Continue reading
Have you ever sat down to have a quiet time and wondered, what’s the point?
Countless times I’ve realized that, aside from my brief Bible reading and prayers in the morning and evening, I’ve forgotten about God all day. This leaves me with a horrible feeling of guilt, wondering what impact reading my Bible actually has on my life.Continue reading

The first part says, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young…” Which is nice, the Bible is actually telling me that young people are good. Lots of times, young people are looked down on for being rude, clueless, or generally problematic.Continue reading
For this post, I had the privilege of talking with several friends of mine as well as a few adults about the importance of Christian community. Some names have been changed.
One of the things I miss the most out of all the things we’ve lost by sheltering in place during this pandemic is my community. Even though I get to see them on video calls, it isn’t the same. Through these last few weeks I’ve realized how much my church, youth group and girls’ group is important to me.Continue reading
